Wood sculpture Time to Melt surrealism tribute to Salvador Dali by Garry Zayon

Wood sculpture hand crafted by Philadelphia designer and artist Garry Zayon.
Done in the surrealism style and a tribute to Salvador Dali. Using his exaggerated mustache and melting clock. I always admired his paintings and wanted to see one made in to a sculpture.

It was a real challenge to make the clock with the curves and making and applying the numbers. I always was a big fan of Salvadir Dali and abstract forms. I love incorporating different wood like the spalted maple to make the tree. And the shoes wood type is purple heat.   Even the base is buckeye burl  is actually a mans head,

The book has the title os the sculpture time to melt and is also signed  GZayon.
Another big challenge was making the small letters. This was a fun sculpture to make and very rewarding.
